... the path. I offer to take a photo of this family of 3, the wife and daughter seem enthusiastic, but the husband says "No!". Fine. I continue on my way. I walk for a good couple hours along the coast path. Very scenic. Then I make my way back to town. It starts to rain, I find shelter and wait for it to let up. I then find a nice bench to lie flat on and take a siesta. It's sunny and warm again, so peaceful. The ferry arrives again and we depart at 4PM. Tons more people walking ...

... in Lorient. Busier than I expected and I had to take a whiz again, pronto. ASAP. And I didn't know where I was really. Drove around like a maniac until I found a road and abandon train tracks down by the marine warehouses. Never thought there'd be such a better feeling than relieving yourself, in public. We arrived late after a big day of travel. A pretty town rising on both sides from a river with foot and road bridges every 50 meters.

After our delicious lunch we ate light in an upstairs Creperie run by a Mother and son. Just the job, a carafe of wine and a savory and sweet crepe each.

As we were walking about 100 or so runners with head lamps passed us, off on some nighttime endurance run I suspect. Completely mad!

The Germans had occupied all the countries on the Atlantic, English Channel and North Sea of Europe and constructed defences in strategic sites along that long coast line.
