... Malaysia customs at the peak of rush hour - lots of Malaysians work in Singapore and travel home on a Friday evening for the weekend. The Malaysian idea of queuing is pretty hilarious, basically it's a scrum and you just have to keep moving forward, jumping the queue wherever possible, every man for himself. Dan decided he would not be hustled and created his own personal space using a his white skin, his suitcase and a fierce look at anyone who dared try ...

... announced we needed to go and get beers. This was to become a recurring theme of the trip. The town was made up of Malay people and Chinese. Luckily the latter don't mind selling you beer. The only other excitement of the day was Max spotting a huge Iguana and both of them getting physically sick in the evening. Luckily both were fine the next ...

... after about an hour of wondering around the airport in intense heat and on no sleep we started to get a bit annoyed. After eventually giving in and asking a random shop owner we found out that we were in fact at the wrong airport for that particular train (KL has two!) woops! For some unknown reason (I'm going to blame lack of sleep) we then caught a bus to the other airport to catch the train!!! 2 hours later when we finally arrived at KL central station the ...

... both sides of the island, for both sides had become tourist populated, I decided to go with the Panorama Diving School. For £200 I would get 5 dives, my PADI diving certificate and accommodation for 4 nights. This turned out rather well, as not only were the shacks clean and safe, but the bar and restaurant were cheap and cheerful. The girls found similar digs in the shacks next door, and we spent the rest of the morning floating around the beach. My diving course ...
