      ... Oh your food is floated in the lake of tents? Have some of mine. We can share one small package of cookies until the rain lets up. I don't know that I've ever- even in "The Friendly State" of Texas- felt more welcomed and happy to be with so many strangers. And in such poor conditions!

      All in all, it was a wonderful weekend. I made tons of new friends and created countless memories. And isn't that why I came on this adventure in the first place?

      Feeling the need to be white for the past 10 months, but now I really need to work on my tan. Do you know why??? Big news - I gave notice that I will not renew my contract last month! I just booked my ticket to the Philippines. On September 1st, I will fly to Manila to meet up my mom. I finally get to meet my family and see the country where my mom was raised. I'm scared, excited, and hopeful. We'll see how it goes. Only 7 more weeks before that ...

      ... challenging task of coloring inside the lines. If my kindergartners color here, I have to keep the pictures so their parents won’t see them. Evidently they become disgruntled by the idea of their six-year old wasting time coloring instead of doing bookwork.
