... by at least fifty people in period costumes (including a group in native Indian costumes in front of a teepee and a father/son combo who demonstrated sawing logs), passing out local treats like blueberry pie, maple syrup on a stick that had been drizzled on fresh shaved ice, blueberry juice, and several others that I'm sure that I missed!

May 15 - We docked in Saguenay this morning where we were greeted on arrival by about 30 people in period costume, chanting and waving. Went for an hour drive to the National Park followed by an hour hiking. Beautiful scenery, steep incline but a bit much for some travellers who had difficulty on the way down, one fell but only broke a fingernail. May 16 - We landed in Quebec. What a beautiful city, Chateau Frontenac dominates ...

We saw the pyramid monument made from Yield (give way) signs to commemorate the floods of 1996. Made of these signs because the fact that the city evacuated so quickly (yielded to the flood) meant the loss of life was much less than it could have been. We got off the bus in the market square and had ...

... lived. Visited the museum then had a look around the village. Weather is very cold, snow still on the ground. Tonight we had dinner in the grand dining room. There are seven restaurants on board offering French, Asian, American Steak House, Italian, Buffet, Casual dining on the deck and The Grand Dining Room so plenty of options. We chose to dine with others as our preferred option each night so it's been very interesting. A lot of diamond and precious gem ...
