Check-in on the boat was very easy and we settled into our rooms by about 4pm, in time for a pre-dinner drink, followed by dinner and then a scenic night time cruise up the Danube past the House of Parliament, the Liberty Bridge, Elizabeth Bridge etc. it was a lovely ...

There was a restaurant by the Fishermans Bastion with beautiful live traditional music. The violinist could play ...

... leaving our cruise in Rome has not been without hassle or incident. You may have seen on the media that there was a fire at Rome Airport on Thursday which closed the entire airport and bought the city to a standstill. Our cruise ended at Rome on Friday morning and we were due to leave Rome on a flight to Berlin with a connecting flight to Budapest.

We had arranged a transfer from the ship to Rome Airport which left from the ship at 9am. We arrived at Rome Airport at 10am ...

... some extremely unhealthy pastry and cheese delights in Krakow and a few other items that escape my mind at present. I've also had things like McDonalds and KFC at the truckstops on the travel days, or Italian food in non-Italian countries because that's where the crowd felt like eating. For me, it's just as interesting to see foreign interpretations of food I can get back home as it is to try uniquely foreign food. Sometimes you can ...
