      Thursday 8 August 2013 So my covoiturage ended up taking fricken ages! This guy had advertised that he would pick me up in Avignon at 3.30pm, but he didn't arrive until 6pm. And it takes 2 and a half hours to get to Nice from Avignon, but it took him 3 hours!! Gahhh!!       The building where we are staying is located in what is called the "Basse Californie" area of Cannes. It is a residential area on the eastern side of the City. The building was built in the 19th century and has solid, two foot thick exterior walls and marble flooring throughout. Both features lend themselves to the warm climate here.
