It was a long walk but you got a different aspect to the city, you actually ended up looking back over the Grande Canal to St. Mark's Square and The Doges Palace. Then set off for the very long walk home. I now have blisters on my blisters and I was very careful not to deviate off the route as I did not need to walk any further than I had to. Venice - Day 2

Awake and wanting to head into town earlier today to see as much as possible. In town after a quick coffee ad breaky, found possibly the more "common" route to the San Marco square. Still taking us about 2 hours to get there, being distracted by bags and shoes and hats and food on the way through. Glad went the non conventional way yesterday, as had more boutiquey shops and lovely scenery. Wanted to go to murano island to see where they did all ...
