    ... I'd read last night about the "Must Do's" in Venice had suggested that getting "lost", away from the huge crowds was the best way to really see the place. We stumbled upon some lovely, quiet streets and squares. The Vivaldi museum was a great find! Not only was it free to enter, it was interesting as well!     ... there are 117 of them). I got a map 2€ as a 48 hour bus/boat pass for 30€. This way I can go the islands no problem. I walked around a bit, got hungry and had a pizza (17€) on the side of the grand canal...its just like in the movies, so cool! Tomorrow, I will walk to the San Marco square and do a walking tour.     ... we made it finally, to find there was only 15 mins per day internet access and the rest had to be purchased!

    The room is small (but yay, two single beds!) and a nice bathroom with bidet and doors out to a small, private courtyard about 2m x 1.5m. We later found out this was ideal as the windows in the bedroom opened to the laneway below and lots of noisy walkers-by. Shame about the mozzies though!
