They came running back in once since some lady was yelling at them, but then they went back out. It was so nice to be with people who knew what to do and spoke Italian! All in all, Venice and the surrounding islands were well worth the 3.5 hour bus ride each way. We had great food, good laughs, and experienced one of the World's treasures. Venice, Burano, and Murano are definitely places to visit on your next trip to Italy.

... the little waterways, into the Grand Canal and towards the Rialto Bridge. Our Gondolier is quite informative, and the more interest we show the more talkative he becomes. One of the most delightful parts of the ride was, when approaching blind corners he would call (and we could hear approaching Gondoliers call) Aaaaeeeeeeeoooooooo - but much more lyrically and with an Italian accent!!! Quite a 'buzz' being in the Grand Canal and getting tossed around on the ...

... amiss. We parked opposite the reception area to pick up the Wi Fi signal but it was a little uncomfortable with the Kitchen staff waving as we pottered around in our personal space and on inspection of the facilities we found a monstrosity of a boiler in the shower block which needed a cubicle all to itself. You also had to wait for the cheerful but insane cleaner to finish hosing down the entire building with a jet spray, why bother with a shower when a quick ...
