... us, but we learned that at this particular location she would have to ride with a guide the entire time. It made sense, since they knew how to work the equipment much better and would be better able to respond to a potentially dangerous situation. Isabella was a bit apprehensive when the class first started but a funny thing happened once she saw what she would actually be doing, she became a lot more relaxed and even began playing around ...
Arenal Volcano National Park, Province of Guanacaste, Costa Rica susieandisidroThe results of the soccer match are in! The boys won 15 - 5. Jack Played a blinder in goal while John impressed all with his skills. Conall and Darragh played brilliantly too. We were joined by a few other volunteers who played along giving the boys a bit of a rest at times. John had many admirers among the Costa Rican girls with constant calling of his name during the match. One lucky girl even got his e-mail address!
The girls also had a match and ...

Arenal Volcano National Park, Province of Guanacaste, Costa Rica pavel.jares... be done so might as well do it and be done with it. It would have been a normal tour except for the fact that they were all stinking drunk! They were russian immigrants living in New York, so they sounds like the mob. They were funny, but so drunk! Then I had to do the inside part of the tour (which is normally done first, but other people from another tour were going to join up with me at the end to see the bugs and spiders) and they are ...
Santa Elena, Province of Puntarenas, Costa Rica crtravelIt's been a while so I thought a quick update might be in order. Also, comments have been received from some quarters complaining about the "love-in" being conducted by me and Debbie on this blog. To protect the more sensitive amongst you, I will refrain from such sentimentalities in future...maybe! Moved on again last week to working with the birds. They are about the only animal here that it's possible to get really ...
Ciudad Quesada, Costa Rica dingleq... the one named Extremo, just to be sure :) At first we were both a bit nervy to get started, but after zipping across a few easy cables, we couldnīt wait to get onto the bigger ones. Some of the cables were so long that you couldnīt see where the next platform was, and Iīm talking about unobstructed views. I think the longest cable was 750m long .. that one was over a massive valley which felt equally high. Iīll attach some ...
Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, Costa Rica plamodo... a frog and butterfly emporium...I can't remember what they are called in English. In the afternoon we went on a hike through Arenal National Park. We say monkeys, very far away, but the first wild monkeys I have ever seen! At night we visited a natural hot springs. You should have seen this place, it was gorgeous. It was a huge resort with something like 40 different pools, all different temperatures. I spent the a good ...
