On Friday morning, I called the Stuttgart tourist information office to inquire whether or not the tours would be held today since it was a holiday--Tag der Deutschen Einheit (Day of German Unification)--the 24th anniversary of the reunification of Germany. They told me that they were being offered as per the regular schedule, so we planned to go downtown to catch one of the early afternoon tours. Today we for up and had quiche for breakfast. Walked around the shops. Checked out the palace and then made out way by tram to the Botanical gardens. Today we got up and for some pastries.

Once we filled out bellies we made our way to the Cannstatter Volksfest, the local beer festival. This is the second biggest, with Munich being the largest.

Today we got up, checked out and made our way to Stuttgart, The rain can on time and we got there without a hitch.

Once we arrived we walked around town and the main shopping district. We decided to have a later lunch early dinner. We for pasta. We then made our way back and had an early night.
