    ... problem was the ringing and text would work but not the Internet. I finally found this morning by clicking random Italian buttons on the website, that I had to unlock the internet from there! This was a big break through because the place we were staying at had great wifi for free but we didn't know about other places.     ... get lost and although you do get lost amongst all the tiny turns and dead ends you're not actually lost because there are signs every now and then to the main areas. We only stumbled upon San Marco square accidentally and boy were we grateful! The basilica and it's surroundings (including the bell tower) was such a highlight.
