... in 1620. I tried the eisbock (loved it!) and pumpkin ravioli (one of my best meals in Germany). The menu is excellent for traditional Germany cuisine and seasonal dishes; they boast that the meat comes from a family-owned butchery, and many ingredients come from their own farm. The interior feels intimate and cozy, but has a lot of seating over two floors of sectioned rooms.

This morning we went through several locks on the Main-Danube Canal, which has 16 locks in total and which allows ships to now travel from Rotterdam to the Black Sea. We woke up in Regensberg to rain! Determined not let it get the best of us, we grabbed umbrellas and set off on foot through the old downtown. We are really starting to learn that the best way to see these towns is by walking. A car is good to get between the towns, but it gets in the way the rest of the time.
