... to partake so Chris enjoyed trying all three types of Port. He says the Ruby was the best one.
After the tour at Sandeman, we made our way to Ferriera. Ferriera is a very large and very old chateau that owns many of the other chateaus including Offley and Sandeman. This tour was fun because we were the only ones, so it was like we got a private tour. It made me feel famous! The tour was quite similar to the other one in describing how each Port was ...
My flight from Madrid into Porto was my first flight experience with Ryanair. I had heard many controversial things leading up to the booking of my flight so I was interested to see if my story would be one of the endless ones ending in heartache. Considering I wound up in Porto, I'd consider it more or less a success.
I had done quite a lot of prep work to make sure that I squeaked in through the lines that outlined the rules. They have an absurd weight limit ...

Porto, Northern Portugal, Portugal cariverga... are. The distilleries were surprisingly accessible, with all of them offering tours of the caves and tastings, for a fee of course. We were only able to visit a couple (Porto seems to close for 2 hours during lunch) before catching our evening flight out, but we are glad to have tried some new and very interesting kinds of port. Thank you Portugal, we will be back to see more.
Porto, Northern Portugal, Portugal tommcatt... We arrived safely thanks to these total strangers. He advised us not to take the caravan into Porto.
The next day we went on the bus to Porto and discovered why. The 8 kilometer journey took about an hour as the bus travelled in ever decreasing circles through streets normally impassable to a bus without the use of a horn and the assistance of disgruntled lorry and car drivers who had to backup. On arriving in Porto feeling shaken and stirred we discovered a ...
We drove through the rain and Jessica (sat nav) took us up into the mountains. When she wanted us to do a sharp hairpin bend that was impossible with the caravan we had to carry on to a dead end in the road. As the rain got heavier we had to unhitch the caravan, turn round and rehitch and retrace our route. Unfortunately we did it very ...
Braga, Northern Portugal, Portugal mikeandsuecuff... the better part of an hour looking for any restaurant that was opened. Our meals were : a tuna salad (a can of tuna, unrippened tomatoes and lettuce) and pork (a peice of pork, rice and french fries.) Long story short we were more then enthusiastic to get on the road in the morning to leave Porto behind
Póvoa de Varzim, Porto, Portugal wrklein... between Polish and Portugese (e.g. cebula and cebola) than English and Portugese (e.g. onion and cebola). I went sightseeing Porto and there I had a very sad accident. Someone pushed me, my handbag fell down, camera fell out of the bag and went down the hill. It was over, I wasn`t able to fix it. That`s why all the picts from Porto I have either thanks Kinga Freespirit or Sonia.
