    ... in Aksum. In return for these goods, we received many of the fine goods that local merchants wished to export from inland India. Among these goods were many elegant textiles, as well as local medicinal and aromatic herbs.

    We did not spend very long in this town because much greater wealth awaited us further south, so there is not much else to say.

    ... When i decided to halt at Gujarat, Surat was the place as I could also meet a friend of mine. So from Mumbai, I reached Surat at 1:30pm. My friend picked me up from the station and I went with him to his house. There I met some nice people and had a good time.

    Spent a very short time in Vanesa, which is where Hirals dad is from. Since they are building a new house there...we were sent to do some interior decorating. This task actually made us excited to build our own home...but I'm not sure exactly when that's going to happen.     ... parked up, and walked towards the edge. It felt reminiscent of the first time I approached the edge of the grand canyon and I had a slightly nervous feeling building up inside me.
