... round the corner to the cafe next to Bar 37 (can't remember name) for an afternoon of beers and tasty lunch of bolognaise and Wiener schnitzel. We sat under parasols in the pouring rain, chatting about this n that and then reading Austria's history through the Lonely Planet Guide. What an afternoon! The Austrian's pay great attention to presentation with decorated houses surrounded by well manicured cottage gardens. Heading West we traversed Hahntennjoch Pass, 1894 meters. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hahnten njoch Once again this pass was ...

... each time! Then the scenery slowly started to shift (be prepared for lots of mountain shots which are probably v boring for you but ace for us.) Austria at first glance is stunning! All was going very smoothly until we discovered that part of the Arlberg tunnel was closed. So instead of going through one of the mountains (as all normal people would), we had to go round and over it. Ho-ly Shiiiit!! A prouder wife there never was; Jon drove brilliantly. I think anyone ...
