    Gilly's Satnav had its usual off day but after stopping for an hour in Oberammergau we entered a very grey Garmisch-Partenkirchen and went straight to the hotel which was more like a hostel.

    Just waiting to go to our late breakfast at 7am. Then we are on our way to Venice for ride on gondola and to see glass blowing at Murano one of the many islands of Venice.     ... same concern. 3 hrs after my initial call to the break down company, there was still no sign of help from a professional. I called my company who in turn contacted the German recovery company. As it turns out, they hadn't read the notes on the file properly, and assumed the notes were relating to the previous days breakdown and so had made no action!     ... to say that he had 2 people interested in it right in front of him, and instead asked about car hire from the airport. After looking us up and down, he said that hiring a car would be too expensive for us. (The cheek!) After pressing him further, he did then suggest the ridiculous train route we had just rejected.
