Nice Place Shame about the Weather - Tim
... despite rain jackets and the shopping bags all full of water. Clothes off and heating on and we tried to dry out. The boys spirits imporved once I organised some wi-fi (very very fast and cheap) and using the laptop I managed to get Serena up and going again. Eventually by late afternoon the rain eased but we decided that enough was enough - tomorrow we would find some sun.

An easy drive initially until reaching Mansque then a steep climb with amazing views to Moustiers-St.Marie quite a hair-raising drive in "the flash" with lots of narrow sections and precipitous drops into the abyss on the drivers side. The half way point
... again today. In fact, above the tree line where it is very rugged, remote and isolated, and still there are cyclists!! They must have legs of steel! I hit my PB on tunnels today: 10 tunnels, 2 avalanche shelters. Some of the tunnels today, given the location are very basic. Hewn out rock, very narrow - barely room for 2 cars to pass and a 50 watt light bulb every 100 metres. A little daunting. Not much to see in the mountain passes but we did spot a very ...
Cooling off at the lake
