    ... Avaia.

    Beer in hand (water for Avaia), we swayed our way down the gondola and onto the train, Avaia and Talia performing acrobatics on the train car set for bicycles – there is a lot of room. Dogs were made friends with on the train (I really really like it here), and our new family friends INSISTED that we have dinner together.

  • The roads are clean and neat with no garbage or weeds.
  • Drivers are polite and will stop for pedestrians crossing the street.
  • Interlaken is a German speaking region of Switzerland, however, many people speak English.
  • Paper Swiss Francs (or Swiss Frogs as Elle says) is colorful and much better than bland plain US dollars.

    ... is at an elevation of about 2,600 feet while the cliffs above the valley reach almost 10,000 feet. This sheer vertical drop of the cliff faces (over 7,000 feet) is what makes for such a dramatic view...or as Kyle puts it, "its like Yosemite, on crack!"
