      ... thru the mountain. Just stunning scenery!!! I loved seeing the big grin on Marks face ... He loved it as much as I did... Off the train in the village of Brig... Had a quick walk around town, just to get some fresh air, and stretch our legs... Quick easy dinner tonight as not hungry after our big lunch... Tomorrow looks to be another "white" day... Can't wait to play in the snow again... ...

      UNESCO world heritage site with friends.

      ... is a moderatly steep black run but with an impressive drop on one side which makes it seem worse. The real problem is the long run out which involves poling along even if you have kept as much speed on as you dare on the steep bit. It does feel strange poling along past the black piste markers warning you how difficult the run is!
      Anyway, we completed the run back to Birg and headed for lunch. JJ and I went for lunch at the revolving restaurant at the top of the mountain. ...

      ... It was again light intermittent drizzle so visibility was patchy. Sometimes in the valleys it was clear but rain hung in clouds around the tops of the mountains.

      Mom and I stayed in a quad in the hostel, we shared a room with two young Asian girls. They were in bed before us, and their alarms started going off around 6:30 or 7. Apparently, they like the snooze button, because they didn't get up until after 8. Mom climbed out of bed at 8, and I got up around 8:30. We showered, then headed downstairs for breakfast.
