Well. It is hard to believe that 3 months of our travels
have passed already. They say that “Necessity is the mother of invention” and
certainly it has been a necessity for us to move up into the mountain areas of
Sardinia and Corsica in an effort to find cooler air. But what a bonus, as the
whilst the beaches in both these islands are stunning, the mountain areas also,
    have given us some ...

... Corsica, as it's his old one, and is on its last legs. Or should I say wheels anyway. My right pedal had been giving me some dramas on our way uphill, into the little villages the other day, John said it was bent, and maybe the thread was stripped. ... with every bend in the road. We have travelled alot of scenic roads in alot of different countries but we were firmly in agreement that the views on these roads were the best we had ever seen by far. It pretty much combined the best of what we had seen in many other places including, Canada, USA, Mexico, Namibia, New Zealand, Australia, Switzerland, Italy and Spain. I have always wanted to drive the Amalfi coast but I have little doubt that I ...

... drove to our hotel, dropped off our luggage and rested a bit.

We returned the car, no problems. Eldon had to admit it's so nice to have gotten and returned four rental cars without incidence. He did a great job of driving, he always does. This last car, VW Megane, gave us 38.4 MPG. We drove it 350 miles, and the gas gauge still showed half a tank remaining. In total with ...
