... After the soup the entertainment began-four local musicians who played Czech folk songs, renaissance songs, Slovak tunes, American blues and folk songs. It was a great addition to a traditional Czech dinner of roast pork and rice. We were charged to guess the ages and occupations of the musicians-our table came the closest and we won the prizr of a CD. It was a joyful evening, and we all walked home with smiles on our faces.

We love this resort so much that we decided to stay another day and night. The photos of Pocatky were taken from a 16th. century bell tower. We were inside at 12 noon but the bells didn't ring. Thank goodness.

Photo of the time keeper's "nest" are included.

      We both had massages today.

Left our Prague apartment this morning and drove to this fitness resort. Foot massage for 2 (that's people not feet) at 6 PM. Horseback riding at 10 AM, full body massage at 2 and Jacuzzi at 7:30 tomorrow. We should really be relaxed by Tuesday!!

      Great weather, great time.

... and, the final day visiting Prague Castle. Make no error, this is one fabulous city and deserves its reputation as a cultured, friendly and beautiful place to be. The people were lovely, every site we visited was worth ten times the time we had available, and the weather was glorious. Well, maybe that last bit was an exaggeration, it was actually "bleep" hot! So, searching for shade was of prime concern.
What were the highlights? Just about everything ...

The prettiest town I've ever stayed in.

... stopped literally in the middle of nowhere (Kotolec U Jihlavy) to wait an hour for the connecting train to Telc.

We could hardly believe it when we stepped off the train at KUJ - there was only the train station, 6 dusty gravel platforms and a waiting room (60's design with formica tables) and that was it. No food, no town in sight, we were wondering if our journey to Telc was to the end of the Czech Republic.

      Regardless, our next ...
