Had a limited castle tour as they are filming the movie "Emperor". Barbara auditioned for a solo and got the part!! Only problem, we can't be here for the rest of the filming.

OAT prides themselves on learning and discovery ,experiences and today did not disappoint. Our first stop was a medieval monastery near the town. Today we visited another medieval town called Ceske Budejovice. Walked around the town admiring the old buildings, In the square there were more Christmas markets, even a horse merry go round with real horses. With all the different foods on display it was hard not the get hungry, had a traditional big potato fritter served extra crispy.
Got back on the road heading over to Holasovice. Found our selves surrounded by loads of fog, spoiling the country side view! ...

Sorry Salko. After that, we sent Colin a quick message, hoping to meet up the next day but having not a clue what time of day that would be without a time or a place so we ended up just going to bed and decided we would just head into town the next day and play it by ...

    Little prague

A travel blog entry by maxieduncan on Aug 15, 2010

Cesky is a cute little town, kind of like a mini Prague. The main part of the old town is inside a small loop on the river with the castle on a high bluff above. It has lots of little winding roads and is a really picturesque stop. The main activity here seems to be rafting down the river though it's pretty tame as far as rafting goes and was described more as ...
