... Kevin had Monkfish with tomato, olives and capers accompanied with Mediterranean grilled vegetables. I had whole grilled flounder with roasted potatoes. We shared an entree of freshly cooked baby mussels and clams (cockles) in a lemon an olive oil sauce. All very yummy!
Chilled at home tonight and booked a place in Cabras near Oristano to stay tomorrow night.

... down the main street which is now a bit touristy but we discovered a great wine bar with tapas. It was very hot so a Prossecco fitted the bill which is a light , off-dry sparkling Italian white, crisp and with a lemon tang, superb. Kevin tried the Baccala which is salted fish. The guy gave us a free taste of some Rioja , a Spanish red - nice.
We ate at home tonight , cous cous and had some Vermentino.

... and lovely white sand. It was picturesque until dark clouds rolled over with lightening and thunder and rain. Everyone started packing up and running for the cover of the restaurants, cafes and bars. It was a cool scene viewing it all from our table!!

While at Cabras, just outside of Tharros, in walking distance, we saw the ancient church of San Giovanni. It was originally built in the 6th century using blocks of sandstone from Tharros.
