    ... That kind of thing. So although we had only one guide-driver day of exploring because we lost a day due to the Great Interruption of Flight by Volcano Eruption, one day was just fine. Done with that. Saw gorgeous scenery--so much green! It's beautilful country.

    Do not know if I'll be able to send messages from deep in the rain forest (well, to me that's how it seems), but will try. Am determined to avoid vipers at all costs...

    The border control was the usual mayhem with all kinds of con artists trying to trick their way to tourists' money. I managed to ward off a couple of ladies who merely gave me the usual immigration forms to fill out, but then wanted $3 for their 'hard labour' as it 'was their job'. Then a chap who was trying to sell me a bus ticket to San Jose before I had gone through migration. He said that $12 was the price and that the cheapest was $11, but I stuck to ...
