In the afternoon we were supposed to catch the ferry to the other side of the lake, however we read the timetable wrong and missed it which meant that we had to drive to Rapperswil instead. We walked around the town here as well and also around the lake. Before heading home, we had gelato in a cafe by the lake.     As darkness and cold set in I relocated to the restaurant to sample the Feldschlosschen, which followed the theme of the day - an Italian lager with a German name.     I pushed on to the bottom of the hill and the clouds over Grimsel were gathering. I didn't linger but headed straight up the mountain to the next lookout to take some more photos back up the valley. It was here that I was hijacked by a bunch of Italian riders who adopted me and made me their mascot. I escaped after half an hour and 400 photographs to ride with them to the top of the pass.
