... down it is raining, a lot.
But, we took a group trip on a boat to Rovinj where we had a tour and then stopped for "Hot Chocolate" which was really just melted chocolate with whipped cream on top, and it was delicious. On the boat on the way back to Pula we had a dance party while cruising through the big waves, which was quite the thrill.
We pass our days by counting ...
... night and seem to be getting some of my strength back its taken it out of me and luckily have had Ian around to help me. Everytime I got up I just felt dizzy but thats common I think with concussion. Ian had to feed me soup the other day as my hands would not stop shaking but as I said I am feeling a lot better now and even agreed to move on to Opatija which is about 2 hours down the coast and a little ...
Rovinj, Istria, Croatia traceybelle... to sit down as the pain was really getting to me. I knew then that I was going to faint I could tell after fainting a few times before everything goes weird and things start going fast I kinda thought I could stop myself but no joy. The next thing I knew Ian was trying to bring me round after putting me in the recovery position and had some tissue on my head as I had fell head first into 500 year old ...
Rovinj, Istria, Croatia traceybelle... joked around for awhile, Jeff suggested that we go up to the sundeck as we cruised into Rovinj. So we got dressed and headed topside. We didn't end up going directly to Rovinj, but instead anchored near a beach and island off of Koversada, a few miles north of Rovinj.
The guys were a little nervous about going to a bare beach so we first pulled out the water toys nearby and played around in the ...

Pula, Istria, Croatia rampantredhead... bones disappeared from Constantinople in around 800 AD. She is now the city's patron saint & her remains lie inside the church, which has the highest belltower in northern Croatia.
Small art galleries, shops, and waterside cafes fill the narrow cobblestone streets near the harbor, and it was a pleasant place to spend a few relaxed hours.
... Pula, on the southern tip of Istria coast was one of our stops. The Roman Amphiteahter, built by Claudius, is the highlight of Pula that takes us to the time of the Roman Empire. Imaginations go back to AD79 of gladiators and spectacular events experienced by those people (23,000 capacity) of 2 thousand years ago. This ...
Pula, Istria, Croatia francie... buildings, but the walls still remain in really good condition. For 30 Kuna (around $5) we got an audio tour of how the building was used, where things were located, and about the gladiator shows. Did you know that when people would buy a seat, they would get their name carved into it to show that it is theirs? They should think about doing this in the Packer Stadium. Pula, Croatia kacampau... all the way around it - which is liberally dotted with atmospheric roman ruins (actually most of the ruins have been reconstructed so they're not really ruins). The streets were buzzing with people of all shapes and sizes eating ice creams, having coffee and socialising. I would have liked to stay for an extra day but we had places to go and things to see and time is money......which by the way is not a great motto to have when you're on holiday.
Pula, Croatia kukuwu... looking. We walked around the campgrounds looking like GI Jane. It was hysterical. When we went to the bar to order 3 gelato's the bartender couldn't believe he was seeing such a sight. He had to take a picture of us with his camera. Just imagine 3 crazy girls eating gelato's weaering face masks on a late night in Croatia. It was like having a slumber party in another country! :) Sept. 2nd Another beachy kind of day. Spent the morning at the beach then took ...
