We LOVE Sardinia. It is a very beautiful place, the coastline and beaches are fabulous. Today started off promising a repeat of yesterday's weather - perfect blue skies to match the water and 29 degrees. Just right for experiencing what this part of Sardinia has to offer. Granite rock again with some stunning formations, transparent green and turquoise sea and sheep farming; main source of profit for the region Olbia itself has a Population 54k and is on the Northern coast of Sardinia so decided to go up to Costa Esmeralda, the beaches are prettier than Corsica which was mostly rock, no real beach. Went to Porto Cervo first, very ...

    Shipboard Day

... deck chairs around the pool and enjoyed the comfortable breezes coming off the sea until it got too warm (82 degrees today!!) Then it was about time to set sail for St Tropez in the French Riviera. I guarantee we will not remain on the ship here. We have a full day docked here. Glad we rested up today. Very peaceful and relaxing ...
