... the switch back road, with a few short cuts on so called trails, enabling us to catch the 1.00pm ferry back. Hard to believe it is winter as it is so warm, although the wind does remind us spring has not quite sprung (mind you, blossoms are out and we passed many a wild flowering jonquil on our walk today). Exhausted and hungry by the time we arrive at 2.30 we look for a lunch venue, in the end we decide to head to our yesterday location ...
... any food, no milk for coffee (this is the real disaster!) and no dinner. What to do you ask? Well when you are traveling abroad you have to plan ahead for these little problems. I didn't. So what to do, well if you go on the autostrassa (big highways) then the service stations are open. I am observant. Off we go and find one that is open and grab some spaghetti and sauce, bread and milk. Good to go now (as long as there is coffee!).

... like a sleeping pill, and I was I. dreamland for another few hours. I was awake and ready for the day to begin around 8:00a.m, and going on deck, was bathed in beautiful sunshine, and mild breezes from the NE. What a lovely day this is, after my second awakening. What a lazy day this has been. I spent most of the day reading in the warm sunshine, and napping, after a delicious and filling lunch around 2:00p.m. I was not expecting to stop ...
... didn’t think it was the safest place to leave Lily, so drove off in search of somewhere else. I managed to find a stop which is pretty much now on the beach. I am sitting in my camper, with the doors open, listening to the waves wash up the beach. I’ve met some lovely Germans, who I spent a few hours chatting with, and even ate my dinner with them.
Moral of the story – trust your gut – something better is always just around the corner!
... month..so nice..will meet tomorrow. Nice to chat with her about my favorite country! Her father is from Naples so she was happy to hear I loved Naples so much.
well, not much else to report. Hope to see Gianfranco playing tonight. The soccer games have been taking over the bars..all you can hear is cheering and yelling when they are going on. amazing how far sound travels during these games! Cuts into my Aperol ...
