    ... bread rolls. And a spritz. (Made with prosseco (sparkling wine) Apple juice and water). Bellissimo! What a magical spot to have lunch, out on the balcony. Lake and mountain views. Beautiful! After lunch I walk through the hotel's gardens. Beautiful again! Back to Varenna for a spot of last minute shopping (bought some prints of the area) and a huge gelato. Back to my room to pack up.     ... digital system because the woman has barely gone when the dentist points to the X-Ray image of my teeth on her screen and says there’s a hole. I agree.

    She then says that she’ll remove the tooth. Huh?

    I was looking at making an appointment to get a filling today and here she is wanting to solve the problem in quite a different way. She explained that I didn’t need it to eat … but …, well, I wasn’t expecting this.

    ... platform and it's really quite difficult to get cases up and down. Don't know how the oldies get on. Now there are mountains on the horizon with snow on the top. Beautiful! As we get closer to Milano it has become very flat. There seems to be less horticulture/orchards/vineyards and more green paddocks/crops. Maybe they grow wheat up here? They surely need a lot for all the pasta they eat. Got into Milan on time then found my train to go on to ...
