... unreal, sun is fierce and not a breath of wind. Afternoons on the balcony are the order of the day, listening to all the birds shouting at each other and arguing over bread dropped on the floor at the cafe by the lake.
Only downside is having to wait until 7 till the restaurants open. Not easy for two gluttons like us. Had a rubbish meal first night too which is enough to put us in a bad mood for about a week. Italy almost done. ...

This is a simple hotel, with simple rooms, with a simple breakfast, that will do job.
If you want a pool, a breakfast with 3 miles and a runaway to put the car...this is not what you are looking for.

... wet wet, not sure with what but in all honesty I really did not want to know! Found our hotel which is very conveniently located next to the main railway station (not the one we arrived to) which is where we leave from Wednesday so that will be easy. It's an older hotel and has interesting features, the crazy old trouser press, electric curtain closers, a hair dryer that came out of the 70's and lots of little compartmentalised drawers. ... I eat! I'm snacking on a delicious, buttery apricot croissant and a cappuccino foaming to perfection. Mmmmmmmmmm.
We are waiting for all the other Si Parla Si Canta folk to arrive. We will meet at Door 6 of the Milan-Malpensa Airport, and then take a charter bus to Urbania, the little town where our program takes place. This will be another long day of traveling as our bus ride will take approximately 5 or 6 hours.
