... pieces that I have in my room. The bells from the church in the square ring on the hour. I think they may stop after about 10pm and start again at 7am. Day 2: Lazy start to the day. I wander over for my breakfast at the cafe and catch up on emails etc. After breakfast I walk to the train station to confirm the times for tomorrow. I buy a ticket for the early morning train. Then I head off for the walk ...

... That seems a bit odd. Not sure where the sand would come from. Probably just my eyes. We pass through lots of little villages which are very agricultural. It's so much more satisfying going by train than flying. It's not a cheap way to travel though. A Eurail pass would be the way to go if you're moving around a lot. We missed the last bus for our trip back to Bellagio but the waiters organised for the owner to take us back to Bellagio himself. Great food, great service and a nice chat with the owner on the way home was the perfect way to end another great stay in beautiful Bellagio.

... t eaten we went there for a quick bite. A tasting plate of meats, cheese and pizza and a glass of wine was exactly what we wanted. We then walked around the corner to have that long awaited coffee fix. It didn't disappoint. Magnificent.
Showed Sue around parts of Bellagio and some of the great shops. It was very busy but by 6pm, the tourists had left!! Had dinner and headed back to the apartment.
We are really looking forward to having a few days to relax and chill out. ...

... to another grotto for dinner. The view up there is beautiful. The restaurant, as I said, is more like eating at someone's home. Someone who would give you six options for dinner, but still. Laura and I order the ravioli and Martin gets a steak. We also order a local merlot, which is produced in great quantity in Ticino. Sitting outside, under some vines, drinking wine, is another one of those moments where you just sigh and think about how great your life is. Or mine ...
