The path I was following used to be a railway until they tunnelled the train instead and paved this into a cycling path.     ... these locations in the past. The houses are huge, often with massive barns attached which must have housed provisions for you and the cattle for the winter because presumably once it snowed that was that until it thawed in a few months. It must have been tough.

    We have really enjoyed Italy; again. Tomorrow we head for Austria, the bit we missed last year.
