... to say hello to Hilario and his family, also check out his vegetable plot as he used Bokatshi as a fertaliser when we left from there.
The impact of the bokatschi is incredible. Everything is out and look gorgeous.
When we came at night, Hilario invited us to his family´s party then another one later with his son, playing music.
We spent an excellent night.
We woke up the next morning, had some bizcocho with chocolate milk, speciality of Cayembe.

... shown the ropes (literally) by our eccentric guide on how to abseil down the waterfalls. After a tough 20 slog up to the waterfalls, Claire was up first on waterfall number 1 and really enjoyed the 15 metre descent. Three more waterfalls followed of varying steepness and size, the highest and steepest being 25 metres high with a 90 degree vertical angle. It was great to see our guide run down the waterfalls after we had descended. He really seemed to enjoy his job, ...

We left the Amazon at 9am after an early morning walk to the local community. It is home to around 200 locals with a primary school of 60 children and 1 teacher. The community has been focusing on gender equality and education in recent times which was great to hear about from our local guide. ... sent me into hysterics. The boy is such a mong its unreal. Took a pickup truck home with random folk. The seats were wooden and fallin apart was so bumpy. Went off to our lesson at 9 o'clock this morning as we thought the mornings would work better on the weekend.
