... exist in real life. About 30 people in the prime of their lives drinking booze and frolicking in a hot spring. I couldn't help but wonder what Costa Rican people think about the crazy foreigners embarking on 10hr hikes in their backyard. Hell I can't imagine what my grandmothers would think if they were still alive. I've gone through a lot worse, so this hike wasn't that bad, but who pays to slog in the mud and rain? Next destination: Granada in ...

We stayed in Costa Rica one night on our way to Panama where we have a job lined-up. It looked like Miami, Florida with casino's and high-rise apartments. We passed by other towns such as Jaco, Playa Hermosa, and Uvita. Costa Rica didn't look anything like the rest of Central America. It was much nicer and much more expensive.

Until now we have been roughing it. Working and volunteering our way from Belize to Nicaragua, we have encountered so ...

... waterfall trip earlier that day (>300 steps, about 200 ft). Axel and Wilbert were quite enamored with the Uke. It was really cool getting a firsthand look at what this place is all about.

Ryan and Richard shared their testimonies after our opening music, which was awesome! Then is was on to work projects. I helped install a video surveillance system - a job that continues today. The day was capped off by Tim telling ...
