    So we arrived at the bus station in good time to wait for the ticket office to open. On arrival, Rikki realised that she left the $200 that I got out the cash machine for her the day before under her pillow in the hostel!     ... the active Arenal Volcano and a smaller inactive volcano Cerro Chato. Unfortunately most of the time the cloud covered the volcanoes so we didn't get to see what we were told was a magnificent view but we did get a couple of glimpses as the clouds thinned out. We climbed cerro chato which involved two hours of uphill hiking, first through open greenery and then through the rainforest, then dropping down steeply to the lake in the crater.
