It didn't take us long to decide we would leave our bags in the car and only bring up a few items for the evening. The room is is surprisingly well appointed and large with an ensuite. Wandered round town yesterday evening and discovered that everything shuts when the day trippers have gone home. So instead of a buzzing atmosphere it basically died ( and not helped by the periodic rain. Which left me at a semi loose end too. ... of people dressed in sailor get-up too. Random. Then we walked around till the thunderstorm rolled through town and we went back to our room and called it quits. It lighteninged and thundered for awhile, kind of cool to watch out our window by the river until the sewage starting floating by as well. A lovely aroma.
