    ... where they make glass. We saw a demonstration, amazing how skilled they are, quickly turning the lumps into jugs & even a horse within moments.     ... 5 hour drive across the top of Italy to La Spezia. We then boarded the MSC Armonia for a week on our Western European cruise.
    One frustrating and strange factor about this trip is that Mum cruised out of Venice Friday night headed for the Greek Islands and we cruised into Venice Saturday morning. We were literally on ships that passed in the night. Amazing coincidence!It was a pity we couldn't have met up somewhere.

    ... happy to be on the water in the public transportation, so we would just stick with that. Plus, it gives us something to come back for!

    We finally decided on a place for lunch. We had walked by it more than once and were a bit afraid we were still too close to the touristy area but the menu looked good and the pizza – which we were craving – looked great.     ... scarf, coat and beanie cold! Once in the main square where the sun can hit you, you warm a little however walking thru the maze of passages and even on the water it is very nippy.

    ... was a truly lovely merchant churct. It is one of the Chorus Church near the old docks. I could not help but wonder how it would be to start your day of work at mass at such a place. It was a grand and beautiful church that would truly help remind you that your work was God's work no matter what your trade.
