... the shops here! It's a good thing I brought a small piece of luggage on this trip, otherwise, I'd be buying more. But, since I know I can't pack it in my luggage, no shopping for me . . .We walked to San Marco Piazza and what a sight! It's as grand and enormous as I had remembered it back in 1991 when I was last here. I think Xander was overwhelmed by the size of the piazza and the crowds!

18. A Sinking City
... Spent our first evening in St. Mark's Square amongst the mountain of rubbish from the day's tourists, listening to the bands while watching the sun go down.
The next day we spent getting lost! It took us 2 and a half hours to get to the main square without a map, but the church with it's golden mosaics and crazy sunken floor was worth it. Apart from that I can't really ...
