          ... silly duffer she went the wrong way...funny as ..?Anyway enjoyed the night listening to Pietro entertain the peps at the restaurant ...such a great entertainer ...what a fun night as everyone mingles in the restaurant. We meet a couple of Yanks ...both New Yorkers ...but so much fun ...hate a drink !! We decide to taxi down town ...but instead do the stairs 335 of them just incase I hadn't mentioned that !! Try and find something with some music ...

          ... the trail and met Pasquale in the parking lot for the trip back down the mountain. He dropped us off at the main gates of the Pompeii ruins and we sat outside in the sun and ate lunch before heading in.

          ... is that we know the dates of events now like the back of our hand...the city was first destroyed by an earthquake in 62 AD, rebuilt, and then destroyed again with the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. Also, the volcano is still active though it doesn't smoke, and apparently could erupt at any time.
