Ok so we got across the border just as it was getting dark, were almost gonna just throw the tent up, but decided on a room.
All booked we headed up the road, now it was getting dark.
We found the B&B but they said they had no rooms, a very nice fella walked us up the road to a castle, rang the bell to see if there was room there, but that was a no ...

So Teplice Nad Metuji wasnt originally on our list but we'd heard that the rocks (Teplice Skaly) were not to be missed and so we packed our bags and off we trundled. Teplice is on the North East coast of Czech not too far from the Polish Border ‐ when we went it was COLD!

... Virgin Mary is the oldest preserved monument of the folk wooden architecture in the Czech Republic. It was probably established as soon as in 1177. The present shape of the cemetery church comes from 1449 – 51. Inside the church there are beamed ceiling with part of original decoration, rococo altar and late gothic figure of the Virgin Mary.

Today´s ride was 42 kilometers long…quite pleasant and not so much tiring as we expected.

... for a while admiring the views and a paraglider who was flying around, before catching the lift down again to the restaurant and a coffee with a couple of plates of chips!

As it was still early afternoon, Lucy and I took the boys to the reservoir and hired a 4-person pedlo for half an hour. It was pretty exposed on the lake as you can imagine and the beach was packed with people lying semi-naked, slowly baking themselves. Not ...
