Finally. The ocean. Corsica's beautiful northern turquoise abyss provided soothing balm to the soul. Tears were shed as we wandered into the ocean, creating solace amidst the chaos, bringing light to dark. I had mournfully ached for the ocean amidst those mountains for the past six months. I loved those peaks, I stared in awe every day at the ever changing vista from our living room ...
... even though all the windows were down. Ille Rousse was a lovely little town, with beautiful sandy beaches, and Aqua marine crystal clear water, typical of the Mediterranean. Our room wasn't ready so we walked across the street and sat on a bench over looking the Mediterranean sea. It was gorgeous. We just can't get over the colors of the water. It is so crystal clear. I'll bet the snorkeling is amazing here.
