... off on the Vespa heading south down to Amalfi. It was a very nerve wracking and slow start down the mountain as we got used to the narrow roads and the fact we had to drive on the other side of the road .... we had travelled for about the first 500m before we realized we were on the wrong side of the road ....LOL .Anyway we had a short stop in Positano for some sunblock and a backpack then it was back on the Vespa again. We had a few minutes to wait for our coach, so I browsed ...

... 1 in upper Capri. I reckon there must have been 10 tourist groups all queuing up to get on the Funicular - it seemed to take forever. From there is was a steep, upwards only walk, for I hour! It was an interesting walk though, passing by all the beautiful hotels that only the rich and famous could afford to stay at, and peering into people's gardens. I love how everyone in Italy grows food. There really isn't any bit of their ...

... booking the rooms, so half our group had to be relocated to another hotel in Anacapri.. The ferry ride was pretty uninteresting as there was no deck to go out on. We arrived at The Marina Grande just before 6.00 and were crammed into 2 smaller buses for our journey up the Mama Mia road to Anacapri. We had been allocated a room in the basement or so it seemed. It was quite nicely decorated but had no window and smelt very musty AND the ...
