... any rock tunnels poking our boat into any grottos and showing us the red coral and blue green waters in the grottos that are what this island is famous for. It was a most enjoyable ride especially as the further around we went the more the sun came out. By the end it was full sun and quite hot. The last stop was the famous blue Grotto which was only accessible by row boats and as a result it was a 2 hour wait. We opted to continue journeying and only 2of ...

... it. After the suicide boat experience, I figured what the heck!! Instead, our guide, Piero, took us to the white, green, skipper's grotto and some others. I believe they were more spectacular than the famous blue grotto. He also pulled into a secluded cove with mountainous cliff walls and let people swim if they wanted to. It was freezing at first and I was forced to swim around and tread water ...

... problem with heights. I have a problem with unenclosed heights. But it was worth it. As you glide slowly up the mountain, you get a bird's eye view of the scenery below --- vineyards, kiwi, apricot, fig, peach, and lemon trees. Gorgeous! The Bay of Naples is just over my right shoulder on the ride up. When you reach the 1,900-foot summit the views are spectacular. I'd have to say the view of the Faraglioni Rocks was worth it alone. According to Rick Steves, the hike down was a ...

... half way round the island we were dropped off at the Harbour. The little bus then took us to the main town on Capri, another hairy ride up a mountain side packed in like sardines. Out we get and the view was spectacular, it was lunch time so we grabbed a faccasia and found a bench and took in the view. Two boats I would be very happy to own, huge things. Time for a coffee and then hit the shops which we had been warned were ...
