When we eventually got to Montaņita it was getting dark and decidedly cold. We then had a good hour or so cheking out all of the hostels in the town (or at least that is how it felt) before settling on a place on the main street where we could get rooms for $8 each with en suite bathroom. Sounded like a deal!
