We headed back to Quayaquil and spent a few hours hanging out at their huge bus terminal. It's like a shopping centre. You can even buy washing machines at the supermarket in there, how you would transport that on a bus I'm not sure but it's available if you need one. We then caught what feels like our 100th bus to the town of Baños. Baños is like the Queenstown of Ecuador. Surrounded by jungles and waterfalls, it's known for ...

... adrenaline experience. Perched high above we were strapped in to a harness so that we could lie down whilst going across. 850m at 120km/h across the river. The second evening was also spent playing pool, drinking beer and meeting lots of Danish people, before seeing them all go mad as one of them asked the DJ to play a danish song and they all started dancing. Now I understand why locals find the gringos strange - they dance beautiful latin rhythms with elegance and sexyness, and we line dance in drunken stupours with ...

baņos is a small town a few hours south of quito, known for being a great place to do outdoor activites. Aline, Sam and I stayed there for 5 days. One of our first activities was biking down the Ruta de las Cascadas (The Route of the Waterfalls). They views were spectacular, and the final waterfall Del Diablo was breathtaking. The only spoil to the day was Aline's bike getting a flat tyre half way there. However, 2 friendly locals tried to help us mend the bike and when ...

... Leesh's denim pants are not drying quick enough and decide to head out to grab a fruit salad from one of the vendors outside the hostel and give some direct sun to the pants as we eat. The fruit salad is very refreshing before we head out and go for a walk to find some stronger sun for the pants. We stumble across a little bridge leading to a walkway along the river where the sun is beaming. We find a concrete bench to place the pants and sit back and relax as the ...
