Finally. The ocean. Corsica's beautiful northern turquoise abyss provided soothing balm to the soul. Tears were shed as we wandered into the ocean, creating solace amidst the chaos, bringing light to dark. I had mournfully ached for the ocean amidst those mountains for the past six months. Views from the Calvi Citadel and the fortress gave us brilliant panoramic views over the harbour, the water so blue and crystal clear. The pink L'Eglise Santa Maria church in the centre of the village is a distinct city landmark. The top of the church looks like it had an ...

... cheeses, breads, olives and meats and they all looked beautiful.

We got back to our hotel, and I went directly down to the pool. I can't spend 5 weeks on these lovely islands and not come home with some tan. I'm not getting much because I'm using a 50SPF, so I'm at least saving my skin cells.

After about and hour and a half, Eldon went to the bar to get us a cold beer. The bartender said she'd bring it out to us. It was ...
