    Family and friends,

We are now at our second apartment in Barcelona. We have moved from the Gothic district and are now staying in Gracia. This side of town is just as beautiful. We are staying with Ivan, a photographer from Argentina, and Arturo, a college student from Chile who is studying law and magic (yes magic). They both are some of the most down to earth people I have ever met. Ivan is a great host who goes out of ...

Today was the day of my big meeting. Up at 4 am and on the metro by 5. It was packed with the beautiful still half drunk people of the world returning to their hotels and homes from a night out. I'm sure I looked a little out of place in my business suit haha! The thing about Spain... They don't do mornings... After 30 minutes ...

Mollusks, fish, frogs, and chicken. I come from a food culture where "fresh" means you get to witness the final blow. It seemed as if nothing else could trump that. Then my friend who lived in Valencia, Spain for several years introduced me to morcilla - Spanish blood sausage. Although you don't get to see Miss Piggy meet her demise, I quickly learned of different varieties, and my quest for blood (sausage) began.

... a wide walkway past the marina and all of the sail boats. There was a temporary art exhibit set up all along the walkway, boxy-type structures that you walk through with paintings and their descriptions on each inside wall. From here I was only a few blocks from the apartment. I had no idea I was situated so close to the water—I would definitely be coming back! I rested just a little bit and then headed out to go to the Picasso Museum. It’s very close by. ...
