... could see people in the church tower so decided to go. A lift for 2.50 euro each took us halfway. The remaining 30 metres was a spiral staircase. The top of the hill was 500 metres and where we could get to in the church was 560 metes above sea level. A few more pics and we had to get down to catch the cable car. On our last day of Barcelona we went to Montserrat mountain to see the monastery. From the monastery were able to take a ride to the top of the mountain in a funicular carrage. The view was fabulous. The mountain is historic for the discovery of the Black Madonna in a cave. A monastery was developed and now pilgrims travel to see the Madonna. ... great beaches and lots of very cool scenery. If you haven't been here, put it on your bucket list. Finished the day with a stroll down the Main Street and had dinner and very large beers at a tapis bar with a fun group of Brits. They were from London but didn't know LB's. what's with that? Can't wait for more Barcelona time tomorrow. I think we're headin off to see Gaudi's church tomorrow. Who wouldn't think Mark would do ...
