Day 16 - The Monte Carlo
... just incase you missed that try have both now blown €25 on failure) Todd made money though he made €35 not knowing really what was happening and annoying a lady who had thousands on the table in chips. Todd and I made a dance to rub in our victory and meg and jake both have to deal with the guilt of wasting there money. It was an awesome experience and we learnt that jake has issues with gambling ( I had to drag him away literally :)) ...
We return to the ancestral manse

... encountered in my life! It sounded like an army of people were trying to break into the apartment.. and then every few minutes the whole place would be lit up by lightening!! It was INSANE! So after closing up all the shutters, we all went back to bed hoping that it would pass quickly as the roads already appeared to be flooding!!

... the pebble beaches can be rather challenging on the old feet. My advice is to just accept the fact you’re going to be pelted with a few rocks upon exit and entry. With Nice our only beach stop on the tour a few of us guys were more than happy to spend the day at the beach. Plus it gave us an opportunity to put some ground work in with a few girls on the tour....

... waiting for a McDonalds to open so we could let Andrew know that we were safe. We got to the river and watched the sun come up over the city skyline. Samuel got to explore along the river on a rental bike. I roamed at my own pace. We were due to catch the train to Bordeaux at 2.00pm so we managed to squeeze in a few more old churches and buildings.
Samuel and I decided we liked Bordeaux the best with its Ancient Victory arches ...
