We departed Rome on time at 7.50am and had a pleasant rail trip to Venice Mestre station where we changed to a coach for the trip to Villach. ... as we were off to another optional excursion, this one a dinner at a traditional village Inn at a nearby town called Radovljica. We were reluctant to go but had a great night. There was wine and cheese in the cellar, plus accordion music, then dinner upstairs in the restaurant, with more accordion. Sounds cheesy but it was a good night.
