... Last chance for photos. Strolled along the waterfront promenade. Again, breath-taking scenes. I have enjoyed the photography this trip. Deb decided that we NEED a gelato in Italy which is easier said than done. It is off season and we were right in the middle of the ritual siesta. We had to wait until 2:45 pm before any shops were open! How do they run a country?

... segment itinerary and met up with J, a colleague of T's who got in on the deal with us. We flew to Newark with no issues, graciously upgraded to First from some of J's expiring upgrades.

We boarded the EWR-MXP flight and took a bit of a delay, first due to lack of final weight and balance and then due to some foggy weather that had rolled in. I thought this could only help the sleep situation, because now it would get us to "bedtime" sooner.
