The long boring road to Luxembourg

Time to Say Goodbye...
I started to feel nervous when I took my parents to the train station last Tuesday. They left for their own vacation in Nepal and I lost my travel expert and organizer (= Mama). Now I have to make sure not to forget important things all by myself :-( And if that wasn't hard enough, I also started the goodbye-marathon!

Medieval Village of Monschau Germany
... the houses. I regret not taking the time on the way into town to take some photos of the amazing "artwork" of the hedges. Some have doors and windows cut into them and some intricate designs. They are enormous beechwood thickets and are quite a sight. There are also a lot of cattle hedges lining the pastures in place of barbed wire and are ideal for protecting the livestock when storms rage. Gawkin' at Aachen Two
After we exited the outstanding cathedral, we just let the atmosphere of the city of Aachen lead us around. We went into a couple more churches, pictured below and gazed at the array of colourful flowers, fruit and fish at the open air market.
