One of the locals tried to direct us to one of the buoys but in the
end decided it was not strong / secure enough for us so we headed for
the only hammerhead.


Getting onto the hammerhead was in
itself abit of a challenge: a) it being quite shallow, b) very close
to moorings, and c) the apparent lack of cleats upon which to attach
yourself. In the end we got there. At the same time ...

We spent a few days in Gijon which was a very interesting town, with a wonderful atmosphere and great cultural activities. We just happened to be there whilst a cultural festival was going on. Each evening there was a concert by the marina, which displayed the various styles of music of the (Asturian) region.

The town itself was fairly modern, with a few hidden gems.

We visited the main sites like the beautiful Cathedral and the old part of town which was nice. Than we had dinner in a small restaurant where we tried some Asturian dishes like Fabada. Walked a little more and than got our car out of the parking and drove back to the camping. 28th We left for Santander but when we got near the weather was so awful that we continued to Bilbao. ... was no way he could come to Italy with us and I was disappointed but also relieved. luke, miguel and I went to the supermercado to get some wine openers and ended up being gone for like 30 minutes. We came back and found a new spot and all bonded over stories of blackouts, while luke decided he didn't have enough stories and started chugging the wine.
