partie de venise en train a midi pour se rendre a verone en une heure. une fois a verone, nous avons marcher la ville de long en large pour y voir, une arene romaine, encore en bonne etat et meme parfaois utiliser pour des spectacles d'opera. ensuite nous somme aller voir la fausse maison de juliette puis en suie nous avons monte la tour du palais au centre de la ville. 368 marche ...

Castelvechio was also pretty cool and had some great art inside.

Stopped at Osteria Verona in the main square for some predinner drinks and had some awesome house wine before going to La Taverna Di Via Stella for dinner. Really nice place with friendly staff and great food. Had ...

So we only stopped here for a couple of hours as a rest stop but it was pretty cool.

... well. Well, untill he tried to order vinegar in the fruit market instead of Dill (he had just learned / memorized the work for Dill (aneto) but under the pressure, it came out as vinegar (aceto). Otherwise, am very impressed with his language skills. A few more days and he could totally pass as a native, especially with shorts and sandles like he wore today in late october.

... station which is where we had come in. We decided to find a cafe off the canal and have a coffee and sit down (there are few other places to actually sit). We had cappuccinos and 2 pieces of delicious chocolate cake and sat at a table, soaking up the sun. The bonus was that the cafe had a toilet for its customers, so we actually saved 6 Euro!! We had a reservation for a later train but decided to try and get an earlier ...

... artifacts. The view from the top part of the ruins over the old city was spectacular with the continuous terracotta tiles.

Our last stop on the tourist trail was going to be Juliette’s balcony for which Verona is famous as the inspiration for Shakespeare. Greg thought it was a load of rubbish and waited outside on the street (he kept on saying, "Juliette is make believe, it’s not real, it’s a rip off". It was really crowded as the balcony ...

It was still raining so we got a taxi to the train station as we were heading to Verona in Italy. A funny thing happened at the station- we were in the supermarket there when the security thing beeped as someone went out of the shop- we looked and it was a nun leaving the shop- the shoppers all were smiling. As the trained climbed across Brenner Pass, the rain had turn to snow but as we got into Italy the weather cleared ...

... It was like finally my brain and my subconscious could operate at the same speed. I was seeing everything at once like a beautiful painting. I know, it sounds like they slipped me some absinthe or mary jane, but seriously, I just watch the crowd of people go by and saw each individual while I saw the whole part of the crowd. ... ants nest. not the best pitch we have ever had. We spend the first day lounging by the lake, this part of the lake is dirty and nothing like the romantic picturesque images we were looking forward to. nevertheless it was relaxing the food was good and the beer was cold.
what more could I ask for?
