    Walked to Villa Adriana for the 21.00 performance. An absolutely amazing venue, with lights showing the absolute size and structure of the roman baths. At 21.20, the audience was still casually strolling in, and then once near their seats, socialising.     Staying out of Rome about 40klms in cardinal apartments in Tivoli. Strange apartment on third floor and no lift, 51 steps in all. Tried to find hadrain villa which we eventually did but half of it closed so not paying 11euros. Decided to take train into Rome ...

    ... just arrived and they told us of a good restaraunt. After a quick shower we walked to town and as we walked in were surprised by the rushing water in the channel by the road. Why this was, became obvious the next day.... We met our new acquaintances Clare and Paul in the restaurant which indeed was wonderful and had it's seating over looking a Roman temple, not so often you do this. The meal and company was good, we got to bed at midnight having had a great a great time.
