Athens
... directly down on to the Temple of Zeus and Hadrian's Gate. A very efficient underground railway system made it easy to travel around, though we found our hotel was in walking distance of many attractions, shops and restaurants. Gifts and History
... next visit, the Acropolis Museum. I paid my fare of 5 euros to get in, I then made my way into the first collection; the 'Gallery of the Slopes of the Acropolis'. This collection involves sanctuaries that were found on the slopes of Acropolis and objects that were used by Athenians in everyday life in all histrorical periods. I had a good look around feeling so involved with all this history until; I went upstairs to the Archaic Gallery. I read that the Archiac Period ...
