... a notable sight. While at the Hand we met a very friendly Brazillian man on a Honda Trans Alp. We then continued on through this dry land – no shrubs or grasses to see. The only thing vertical in the landscape are manmade – vehicles, and in places power poles and later, in the windy zone, wind machines! The road surface was great but we had a steady head on wind all the way. Our overnight stop Caldera (7pm) at a motel on the ...

Like Pisco, San Pedro is also an eight block town that can be comprehensively explored within a few paces. It is hot in the day and below freezing at night, the air is ...

... tannins and acidity.

All was well with the world. A great lunch with great wines and conversation. Vivian, the Public Relations Manager, was a great host and we chatted about wine, Limarí and got onto the subject of Pisco. I recanted the tale of my wild dreams from the artisan Kappa Pisco to her and she said that although Kappa was good, her husband and her were also producing an exceptional Pisco which was even better!
